Viktor & Rolf are returning to the Paris haute couture schedule

The Dutch duo - made up of Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren - have been voted back into the calendar by the Chambre Syndicale, the French governing body of designers, and will make their comeback in July with their first collection in 13 years.
They will join fellow names Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab, Valentino, Versace and Armani as a Correspondent Member of the institution.
Details about the designers' pieces have yet to be revealed and it is unsure whether they will give a small, intimate presentation or go all out with a full-scale catwalk show to mark their return.
Viktor & Rolf -was set up in the French capital in 1993 and the designers were permanent fixtures on the Paris couture schedule from January 1998 to July 2000. The label has always held theatrical shows to debut their new collections, which are admired for their complex and unique designs.

Halle Berry has teamed up with Michael Kors for charity

The Hollywood beauty is collaborating with the fashion designer to raise money for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) - which provides aid to people unable to feed their families - by creating two special watches as part of the organisation's Watch Hunger Stop campaign. The accessories go on sale in May and with every watch sold, 100 meals will provided thanks to WTP. Well done, Halle!

Beyoncé has been named honorary chairperson for the Met Ball

The superstar will join legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Riccardo Tisci and actress Rooney Mara in their hosting roles at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala, which this year pays tribute to the Punk movement.

Several invitations emblazoned with Beyoncé's name have already been sent out, according to WWD. The star-studded bash is due to take place on May 6 and the accompanying Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition will run from May 9 until August 11.
Beyoncé turned heads at last year's Met Ball in a sheer sequin Givenchy Haute Couture gown designed by Riccardo Tisci, with an elaborate purple feather train. The racy dress required her to don a nude bodysuit to avoid flashing too much flesh. However, the garment divided fashion critics, with some saying it left little to the imagination. Christian Dior will take over Harrods this spring 

The London department store will be transformed into a tribute to the French fashion house later this month when it debuts new displays, exhibitions and in-store activity dedicated to the label.
Windows in the Brompton Road shop will hold Dior's favoured colour palette of white and grey to create a "French Savior Fair and British charm" theme, featuring London telephone and post boxes, limited edition products and Royal Beefeaters in costumes designed by Creative Director Raf Simons.
In addition to the window displays, Harrods' fourth floor will turn into "the ultimate Dior experience" for customers. They will be able to experience the façade of the Paris Dior headquarters on 30 Avenue Montaigne, recreated for the occasion, and enjoy different displays varying from Lady Dior handbags to their iconic perfume J'Adore.
An exhibition called Stars in Dior will feature dresses worn by the female faces of the brand, including Emma Watson, Marion Cotillard and new-addition Jennifer Lawrence.
The Harrods Dior takeover will run from March 16 to April 14 2013.

Rihanna wears Givenchy’s custom-made looks on her tour

The singer debuted the looks on stage at her first stop in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday evening (09.03.13), where she performed at the First Niagara Center. 

The pieces reflect the designer's "obsession" for sportswear and streetwear elements, with a hint of the strong sensual iconographyfeatured in the fashion house's menswear autumn/winter 2013 collection.
The 'We Found Love' hitmaker's opening outfit is a "dark and romantic" black floor-length silk cape paired with seductive nappa thigh-high boots. Other pieces which will be worn throughout her tour include a white leather bra, silk satin mini shorts and an embroidered parka.

Michelle Obama has topped the first ever Sunday Times Best Dressed list

The United States' first lady was commended for using fashion as a "force for good", while other names on the list included Queen Elizabeth and Home Secretary Theresa May. The Sunday Times Style magazine described Michelle, 49, as "understanding that, as her primary role as first lady is visual, fashion can be a force for good used to inspire and entertain."

Other names who made the top 25 include Spice Girls singer and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, artist Grayson Perry's drag alter-ego 'Claire', Shiloh Jolie-Pitt - the six-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - and actress Dame Helen Mirren."
Meanwhile, singer Lady Gaga earned the dubious distinction of being named Worst Dressed by the magazine's editors and contributors. Oh dear, do you think Gaga’s deserve the title?

Emma Watson is set to star in 'Cinderella'

The 'Harry Potter' actress is in preliminary talks with Disney to play the lead role in Kenneth Branagh's live action take on the iconic fairy tale, according to Variety.

If Emma is successful in getting the role, she will star opposite Cate Blanchett, who has already agreed to play Cinderella's evil stepmother.

The latest 'Cinderella' movie currently has a release date for 2014 with filming set to start later this year.

Karl Lagerfeld is enjoying working with plastic for the first time

The legendary Chanel designer is collaborating with Melissa - who are known for their colourful plastic jelly shoes - over the next four seasons and has enjoyed the venture because it is so unfamiliar.

"The fact that I will discover something I know little about, that is the most exciting part of this cobranding. It's not the first time I've done shoes. I design footwear the same way I design clothes - with a feeling I express in my design. I had never worked with plastic in this way before, it's not the classic technique. I am used to working with more traditional techniques for Fendi, Chanel and Lagerfeld shoes”, he said.

Karl was speaking as he unveiled a preview of his first four-piece collection with Melissa, who have previously collaborated with Dame Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and model Alessandra Ambrosio.

The venture is one of many keeping Karl busy this month, in addition to the Fendi show in Milan and Chanel show in Paris, he is also launching a new high-tech boutique in the French capital, through which he'll showcase clothing, accessories and gadgets, including his Shu Uemura make-up line and watch collaboration with Fossil.

Make a Chic Ponytail

If your hair is curly, use a little anti-frizz cream first. If you have straight locks, scrunch in curl cream to bring out some waves. Tease hair at the crown then pull into a low ponytail. Leave a ½ inch strand out and secure the ponytail with a clear elastic. Wrap the extra strand around the elastic and secure with a bobby pin. Easy and stylish!

Katie Holmes will not show at New York Fashion Week

The actress and her stylist Jeanne Yang have their own clothing collection, Holmes & Yang, and while they presented at NFW last September, they will not have a show next month. A spokesperson on behalf of the brand said they would be previewing the Holmes & Yang autumn/winter 2013-14 collection "by appointment only". We wish her very good luck with her private presentation.
