Neon was spotted on the womens wear catwalks every now and
again, but took the spotlight on the menswear catwalks – particularly in
London. Hot pink was the key shade, showcased through bright jumpers and
blazers at Topman, stripe details at Sibling and patterned trouser suits at
Meadham Kirchoff. Afraid? Don't be! According to a research, men who wear
pink shirts to work earn more and are better qualified than those who favour
traditional colours such as white or blue. If this is completely true we don't
know, but it doesn't' hurt trying, right?
Paris Fashion Week starts today
Concluding four weeks of international shows, the French
capital follows in the footsteps of New York, London and Milan by showcasing
the autumn/winter 2013 presentations from some of fashion's biggest names.
Alexander Wang will make his debut at Balenciaga on Thursday
morning (28.02.13), having Nicolas Ghesquière in November last year, and all
eyes will be on him to see what he has to offer.
Raf Simons' will show his second ready-to-wear collection for
Dior the following day (01.03.13), while Hedi Slimane's next offering for Saint
Laurent is sure to attract a star-studded front row.
However, Alexander McQueen is missing from the show line-up
this season as creative director Sarah Burton is on maternity leave so the
label will instead host an intimate presentation.
Other labels to show at PFW include Chanel, Louis Vuitton,
Lanvin and Isabel Marant. We are looking forward to see what Paris will bring!
Yay!

From
summer to fall
While
boots have always been a wardrobe staple for fall, the wedge was something that
was reserved for summer… until now! A platform wedge is the ultimate fall shoe
must-have due to its tendency to be uber chunky, yet trendsetting and sexy,
regardless of whether they’re paired jeans or midi skirts.
nice post :)
