Burberry
menswear will show in London this year
The fashion
house is breaking with tradition and swapping Milan for London to showcase
their spring/summer 2014 collection, which they will present as part of three-day
catwalk event London Collections: Men on June 18.
This marks the first time in 10 years Burberry won't be at Milan Men's Fashion Week, which is held every January and June in the Italian fashion capital.
Christopher Bailey, the brand's chief creative officer, said: "London is the creative heart of Burberry and our global headquarters, so we are incredibly excited to be showing our next men's collection here. It is a wonderful time to be bringing our menswear show home."
Burberry previously traded the Italian fashion capital for London when it presented its women's ready-to-wear Prorsum line in 2009. The company has been an avid supporter of LC: M since its inaugural showcase in June 2012.
The line-up this summer includes fashion heavyweights Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen.

Gaga’s new
accessory
Yes, when you
thought she couldn’t come up with other unusual accessory , she showed up with
24-carat gold plated "chariot" as she recovers from hip surgery.
The 'Judas'
singer has been left reliant on a wheelchair after having an operation to
repair a labral tear on her right hip last month, and she is recuperating with
the help of the extravagant movement aid, which she commissioned from luxury
brand Mordekai.
Ken Borochov
- who is the creative genius behind Mordekai -designed the chair and although
he has worked with Gaga before he was shocked to receive such an unusual
request.
The luxurious
wheelchair is completely gold plated, including the rims, and also features a
black leather seat - which is inspired by vintage motorcycle jackets - and a
removable leather canopy.
The chair can
also recline should the 26-year-old pop superstar want to relax. Well
done, Gaga!
