Donatella Versace claims her style is high-maintenance
The Italian fashion designer admits she likes to look glamorous at all costs and can't remember the last time she wore flats, adding that the most important thing to her is taking care of her skin and her platinum blonde locks.
Speaking at the Vogue Festival at London's Southbank centre on (28.04.13), she said: "My style is not that big, I wear heels, tight pants and I wear diamonds. I stopped working with a personal trainer as he wouldn't let me smoke. I'm not like this genetically, I use tonnes of cream and take care of my hair and skin."

Beastie Boys are working on a memoir
The two surviving members of the group - Mike Diamond, aka Mike D and Adam Horovitz, aka Ad-Rock - have inked a deal to write about their career with the group, which was cut short by the death of third member Adam Yauch aka MCA in May last year from cancer.

The memoir will reportedly be a loosely structured oral history split between the three band members' voices and contributors from outside of the group.

The two band members don’t want to make a straight memoir, and are aiming to make the book a multidimensional experience, in kaleidoscopic frame of reference. Now, its just wait to see how it will come up!

A petition has been launched to stop John Galliano teaching 
The disgraced fashion designer - who was forced out of his role as creative director for Christian Dior after footage of him making racist and anti-Semitic comments emerged online - is set to lead a three-day master class at the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design in New York, but a vote to ban him from appearing has been launched.
The petition currently has over 250 signatures, and was created anonymously. It reads: "It doesn't matter if it's for three months or three days, hiring someone who has made such horrific comments shows that the school values Galliano over their entire Jewish student body.
John's session will reportedly be called 'Show Me Emotion'. The three-day workshop is due to show pupils how feelings can be used in fashion design and will guide them to their full potential.

The Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute gala will be streamed live from the red carpet this year
The prestigious event  is due be covered by model Hilary Rhoda and US Vogue magazine's William Norwich as guests enter the venue.
Co-chair members Rooney Mara, Moda Operandi founder Lauren Santo Domingo, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci and Anna Wintour will all stop for interviews prior to the party and it is hoped honorary chair Beyoncé will make an appearance on the night.
Other guests expected to attend the ball - viewed as one of the hottest A-list bashes in New York - include actresses Kristen Stewart and Emma Stone, as well as music sensations Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams and Kanye West.
Questions can be submitted to the co-stars via social networking sites Twitter and Facebook and the red carpet will be streamed live on May 6 from 11.30pm GMT.



Amy Winehouse is to have her own documentary film 
Director Asif Kapadia - who helmed the 2010 film 'Senna' about the late Formula One driver Ayrton Senna until his tragic death in 1994 - has chosen the late soul singer as the subject of his new project, it has been confirmed. The documentary will be pitched to the Cannes Film Market in May.
Amy passed away at her flat in Camden, London, in 2011 from alcohol poisoning following the success of her second album 'Back to Black', which has now sold over 12 million copies worldwide since its 2006 release.

World's Most Beautiful Woman?

Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the World's Most Beautiful Woman 
After being honored as the World's Best-Dressed Woman by People, the actress has been awarded the annual honour as World's Most Beautiful Woman by same US magazine beating off competition from the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Lawrence, Pink and Halle Berry.
Last year, Gwyneth's friend Beyoncé was bestowed the World's Most Beautiful Woman title by People. Do you think Gwyneth deserves the title? Let us know.

New Dior’s exhibition mix couture and impressionism 
Mounted in Villa Les Rhumbs in Granville where Christian Dior spent his childhood, the new exhibition, called ‘Impressions Dior’, will attempt to show how this couturier's designs were partially linked to the Impressionist movement.
It will exhibit some of Christian Dior's creations and photographs of his garden, revealing the extent to which Dior was aware of the natural environment and the themes of light and reflections, just as the Impressionist painters had been.
From the 4th of May to the 22nd of September, it’s a must-go if you are in France.

Viktor & Rolf are returning to the Paris haute couture schedule
The Dutch duo - made up of Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren - have been voted back into the calendar by the Chambre Syndicale, the French governing body of designers, and will make their comeback in July with their first collection in 13 years.
They will join fellow names Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab, Valentino, Versace and Armani as a Correspondent Member of the institution.
Details about the designers' pieces have yet to be revealed and it is unsure whether they will give a small, intimate presentation or go all out with a full-scale catwalk show to mark their return.
Viktor & Rolf -was set up in the French capital in 1993 and the designers were permanent fixtures on the Paris couture schedule from January 1998 to July 2000. The label has always held theatrical shows to debut their new collections, which are admired for their complex and unique designs.

John Galliano is to teach a master class at New York's Parsons
It seems designer Galliano - who was forced out of his role as creative director for Christian Dior after footage of him making racist and anti-Semitic comments emerged online – is back to the fashion world, as he has decided to teach students at the Big Apple's fashion college in a session named 'Show Me Emotion'.
Throughout the three-day workshop, Galliano and pupils will explore how feelings can be used in fashion design and will guide them to their full potential, Lucky magazine reports.
This will be the second educational visit for Galliano in the last few months, after he met and spoke with students at London's Central Saint Martins in March to see their progress on a project theme he set.




Gucci's documentary 'The Director' unveils moments never seen before
The fashion house's full-length feature, which premiered at the Tibeca Film Festival on Sunday (21.04.13), follows creative director Frida Giannini behind the scenes and gives fashion fanatics the chance to find out more about the hard-working designer.
Christina Voros, who directed the documentary, told People: "It's always a little scary to be filmed, even more so when perfection is your business. [But once the trust was built] we were allowed to observe and capture moments in places where a camera had never before been allowed."
Hollywood star James Franco, one of the famous faces of the brand, produced the documentary that will
debuts in April 21.

Paul Smith will show his menswear collection in London in June 
The fashion designer will showcase his label's spring/summer 2014 collection at the biannual men's' fashion week in the British capital for the first time. However, the brand will still debut its main collection at Paris Fashion Week.
It was previously revealed that Burberry would break from tradition, showing its new menswear line in London for the very first time. The brand traditionally launches new collections at Milan Men's Fashion Week in the Italian capital. Other newcomers to London Collections: Men include Jimmy Choo and Rag & Bone.
More than 60 designers are expected to show at the week-long event, which takes place between June 15 and June 18. Returning designers include Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen and Spencer Hart.

The American designer was chosen for the magazine's annual list of the most important global figures thanks to his hugely successful fashion career, which saw him head up Celine as creative director before founding his own label in 2002.
In a special profile, fellow designer Zac Posen wrote: "Michael is poised to become fashion's next billionaire. It takes a great deal of resilience and staying power to last for decades, and it's a testament to Michael's very clear vision.”
Michael's inclusion on the 2013 TIME 100 list comes as no surprise after it emerged earlier this year the designer had beaten the likes of Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren to the title of most sought after fashion brand on the net, taking 19.6 per cent of 31 million global searches in 2012.


Beyonce's 'boob corset' took 600 hours to make 
The singer’s risqué outfit - which she debuted while kicking off her 'Mrs. Carter Show' world tour earlier this week - took nearly one month to create and features 30,000 Swarovski crystals, according to the fashion designers behind the look, The Blonds.
The 30,000 Swarovski crystals took over 600 hours to apply and it was inspired by artist Tamara de Lempicka, who is known for creating powerful paintings of the female body. How cool is the piece, guys?

The 'Gossip Girl' star, Halle Berry and Zoe Saldana are just three of the famous faces to have signed up to appear in the fashion giant's new viral video to raise funds and awareness of women's issues globally.
The Hollywood stars join ambassadors and co-founders of the campaign, Beyoncé Knowles, Salma Hayek and Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini.

Gwyneth Paltrow has been voted the most hated celebrity in Hollywood

The 40-year-old actress surprisingly topped Star magazine's annual poll of the 20 most irritating personalities in film, music and television, with 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart coming a close second.
Gwyneth is thought to have amassed so many votes from American readers because of her reputation for leading a health-conscious lifestyle. Meanwhile, moody-looking Kristen suffered due to the public exposure of her affair with married 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders last year behind boyfriend Robert Pattinson's back.
Latina superstar Jennifer Lopez placed third, with John Mayer - who recently split from Katy Perry and is famed for his womanising ways - coming fourth, and romantic comedy queen Katherine Heigl ranking fifth.

DSquared2 are designing outfits for Beyoncé's 'Mrs Carter Show' tour

Twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared2 have custom made one of the singer's outfits ahead of her global tour, which kicks off this Monday (15.04.13). 

While finer details of the design have been kept under wraps, a spokesperson for the brand said: "Beyoncé chooses to wear a unique outfit created exclusively for her by Dean and Dan Caten, inspired by an item from the 2013 spring/summer Glamazon catwalk show."The Italian fashion brand has quite a task at hand since Beyoncé is infamous for her iconic tour outfits. The outfit will stay in line with the label's spring/summer 2013 collection which showcased heavy gold necklaces, black leather jackets and one of Beyoncé's favourite items, the leotard.The singer's tour begins in Belgrade and will journey to Serbia, with the final show taking place in Brooklyn, New York.


Amanda Seyfried will rock a Givenchy dress on the Met Ball

The actress is thrilled to have been invited to next month's prestigious Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York for the first time, but is still trying to decide between two "awesome" gowns for the fashion spectacular.

"I'm going to the Met Ball for the first time. Finally! [I'm going to wear] Givenchy. I love those people. They're going to let me wear something awesome. I still haven't chosen between two gowns. I'm so excited! I have no idea what to expect and I'm actually OK with that."

Though she is excited about the event, the blonde beauty donned a red Givenchy gown for the 'Les Miserables' cast's ensemble performance at the Oscars in February. How cool is her red gown, guys!

Miranda Kerr is not leaving Victoria's Secret
The Australian model was rumoured to be parting ways with the lingerie giant after her $1 million contract had reportedly not been renewed.
UsMagazine.com claimed Miranda - who has worked with the company since 2008 - was no longer a "big seller" for the brand since she had a "difficult reputation" for turning up late and being "standoffish", unlike other models Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.
However, Victoria's Secret president and chief marketing officer Ed Razek has swooped in to deny the claims and insists Miranda's position is safe. He said: "Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business - and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue."
Ed also said that he won't let it stop her having a place in their show in New York this November. So we can wait the Angel on the catwalk show for sure!


Sarah Jessica Parker is putting her 'Sex and the City' shoes up for a charity auction

The actress - who starred as Carrie Bradshaw in popular TV show 'Sex and the City' - has donated three pairs of signed shoes from her days playing the fashion-mad writer in a bid to raise money for a New York high school.
The shoes from Prada, Johnathan Kelsey and Dolce Vita will be sold alongside Britney Spears' pink platforms from her 'Crazy' tour, Shaquille O'Neal's size 22 basketball trainers and Madonna's thigh-high stiletto boots from her Super Bowl performance.
The auction is sponsored by 'Gotta Have Rock and Roll' and all proceeds from the sale will go to New York's LAGuardia High School of Music, Art and the Performing Arts. The auction will start on April 24 and bidding starts at $100. If you are big fan of the show, it’s a great opportunity to bid your dream shoe.

Give me wings!

Last year the owls flew their way back into our wardrobes when Marc Jacobs chose to include them in his collection, and now the wings are back– specially on accessories. Not that it’s new – we’ve seen them printed on bags and t-shirts –, but now angel, butterfly or bird wings appears as earrings, bracelets and rings amongst other. Rihanna is a big fan of the trend, look how cool she brings wing jewelry into her wardrobe. We love it!



Louis Vuitton has dressed a virtual superstar
The fashion house's unusual new project saw creative director Marc Jacobs create four funky looks for computer-generated Japanese pop sensation Hatsune Miku to wear on stage.
Hatsune is a 3D 'Volcanoid', a holographic projection with an artificial voice, who performs to sold-out stadiums. The virtual singer is starring in a new opera stage show, 'The End', and was in need of a brand new wardrobe.
Hatsune is branching out from her usual school uniform attire to don four checkerboard-inspired looks from Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2013 collection. Her look will be finished off with ultra feminine hair bows and statement handbags.


Vogue has signed a conduct code for models
The fashion bible is the first magazine to agree to a new 10-point code which protects the rights of working models, drawn up by trade union Equity.
The revolutionary document covers shoots taking place in studios and on location, and promises models will "get assurances on hours of work, breaks, food, transport, nudity and semi-nudity, temperature, changing rooms and prompt payment."
The initiative is headed by Dunja Knezevic, who approached Equity when she realised there was no body which represented the rights of models. The code also bans girls under the age of 16 from being photographed for shoots aimed at adults.
This comes after the 20 international editions of Vogue agreed on a Health Initiative in May 2012 which vowed to promote a more healthy body image.

The italian designer has hit out at his fellow sartorialist, claiming the Chanel creative director "doesn't have to" dress in the way he does, teaming black sunglasses with a signature black suit. Roberto told The Hunger magazine: "Just because you are an artist you don't have to dress like that. Karl Lagerfeld, he looks ridiculous." Do you agree with the Italian designer?

 

Diane Kruger has been named the new face of Chanel Skincare

The star's "sophistication" has always attracted the brand, and they were keen to extend their work with her by using her for a new beauty campaign.  
Attracted by her sophistication and artistic spirit, the House of Chanel chose her for its Allure fragrance advertising campaign in 1996, then again for the Paris-Biarritz handbag advertising campaign, shot by Karl Lagerfeld in 2007.
Now an ambassadress for Chanel, Diane Kruger will be the face of a new skincare advertising campaign, due to be unveiled in 2013.
