The annual event kicked off and several pieces by well-known designers - who began the race to dress the biggest names in mid-April - have already been spotted on A-list stars as they began to attend the glitzy premieres.
Nicole Kidman, a jury member at this year's festival, dazzled in a strapless embroidered Dior gown as she attended the screening of 'The Great Gatsy', along with the movie's star Carey Mulligan, who also opted for the high end designer, donning a blush pink plunging gown.
'Amelie' actress Audrey chose her frosted mint organza and chiffon silk gown from young, up-and-coming French designer Yiging Yin, while Georgia May Jagger was in a Cavalli’s red gown and Cara Delevingne turned heads on the red carpet wearing a stunning floor-length black Burberry gown. Affleck has created a shoe line for charity
The actor-and-director has collaborated with shoe company Toms to launch a line of fashionable footwear to benefit his own charitable organisation, the Eastern Congo initiative.
The limited edition shoe line is made from colourful Congolese textiles and $5 for every pair sold will be donated to the Eastern Congo Initiative, which supports communities in the Congo, and a pair of shoes will also be donated to a child in need with every purchase.
The philanthropic actor recently lived on just $1.50 a day to raise funds for the Live Below the Line charity campaign, which aims to help people living in poverty.
Ben isn't the only charitable star launching fashion lines for good causes, however. The actor's former fiancée and 'Gigli' co-star Jennifer Lopez released a fashion line for Kohl's department store earlier this year. The range, which included "fashionable, on-trend apparel, accessories and gifts", was part of the company's Kohl's Cares initiative and a portion of the proceeds from every sale was donated to fight breast cancer.

The world's most desirable group of models took part of the lingerie brand 8th annual 'What is Sexy List.' The catwalk divas have released a new video which sees some the lingerie brand's most famous faces - including Karlie Kloss, Erin Heatherton, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandro Ambrosio - give their experienced judgement on some of Hollywood's leading ladies.
The list saw several other repeat entries including Jessica Chastain, who went from 2012's Sexiest Smile to this year's Sexiest Actress, and Rihanna, who took home Sexiest Bikini Body. As well as more conventional beauty categories like Sexiest Legs (Blake Lively), Sexiest Eyes (Zooey Deschanel) and Sexiest Smile (Zoe Saldana), the Angels placed emphasis on other attractive qualities. The showbiz sisters are said to have been working with the design duo behind the brand, Kate and Laura Mull, on a secret collaboration. Although, it is unknown whether the young actresses are involved in making a whole collection or just one special pieces.
Dakota and Elle have already earned their fashion credentials by appeared in ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs and are can usually be found on the front row at Chanel and Rodarte shows. The girls turned heads at the Met Ball last week in Rodarte, with Dakota sporting an embellished black dress and Elle looking more playful in a multicoloured gown.
