Tiesto is teaming up with
Bono for a charity album
The superstar DJ is
releasing a compilation record to raise money for anti-AIDS charity (RED),
which was co-founded by the U2 rocker. The 'Dance (RED), Save Lives' album will
feature tracks from Calvin Harris, Avicii, and Diplo, as well as Tiesto's
collaboration with Bono on a reworking of U2's 'Pride'.
Tiesto said in a statement:
"When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devastating effect of
AIDS.
"Now the world has an
incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV-free by 2015, and the
dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen."
The album will be released
on November 27, accompanied by a YouTube livestream of sets from Tiesto and
other Dance (Red) artists from the Stereosonic Festival, which takes place in
Melbourne, Australia, on World AIDS Day weekend on December 1 and 2.
